Job Description

Looking for a reliable and patient-focused Medical Assistant to support physicians with both clinical and administrative duties. This role helps ensure smooth clinic operations by assisting with patient care, documentation in the EMR (EPIC) , procedures, and medication coordination while maintaining a high standard of safety, confidentiality, and patient experience.

Job Location: Mason, OH 45040

Mandatory orientation Location (First week only): Norwood 45212

Shift: 8am to 4:30pm (May have late night if patients run late)

Duration: 13 Weeks

Start Date: Within 2-3 weeks

Pay Range: $20 - $23/hr

Summary

• Assist physicians with patient care and support daily clinic operations.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vital signs, update histories, medications, and document in EMR.
• Prepare patient charts and obtain outside medical records.
• Manage medication refills, prior authorizations, and patient communications.
• Prepare and stock exam rooms; order and manage supplies.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, check patients in/out, and manage EMR work queues.
• Perform clinical tasks such as EKGs, vaccinations, phlebotomy, and other assigned duties.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with safety and regulatory standards.
• Required Skills & Experience
• Strong computer skills (EMR, Outlook, Excel).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel to other offices as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• EMR System: EPIC
• Experience in multiple care settings.
• Additional clinical skills (EKGs, phlebotomy, suture removal).

Education & Certifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant program graduate.
• BLS required from AHA
• CMA/RMA and an associate degree preferred.
