Job Description

Document Controller Opportunity:

As the Document Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the accuracy and quality of project-related documents are maintained. Our client is looking for an innovative, experienced and analytical Document Controller to join the team in the Houston office.

  • Placement Type: Contract
  • Location : Hybrid- two days onsite, downtown Houston
  • Benefits : Comprehensive benefits plan including 401K matching, medical/dental/vision
  • Pay Rate: $35.00-$43.00 (flexible)

Document Controller Essential Job functions:

  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of electronic submissions.
  • Support integration of document control strategies between the various Stakeholders to ensure improved work processes.
  • Support and provide instruction on work processes and systems for the PMT as required.
  • Support Document Control Planning for Site and PMT requirements for Field Document Control processes and procedures.
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of the workflow process for documentation within the Company document management system.
  • Maintain close relationships with the PMT ensuring support is available.
  • Be active in observance of safety in work areas.
  • Identify opportunities within document management to integrate effective workflow processes for the PMT.
  • Receive, review, and distribute project documentation received from Contractors in a timely manner to the Project Management Team as required.
  • Work to maintain accurate records of documentation process flows within the document management system.

Document Controller Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of document control procedures and systems, including version control, document numbering, and file naming conventions.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Detail and accuracy.

Document Controller Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience as a Document Controller in a project organization, either on the EPC or client side.
  • Previous experience in utilizing electronic document management systems.
