A world-leading proprietary trading firm (name confidential) is looking for a Senior FPGA Engineer to join their elite hardware acceleration team. You’ll work at the cutting edge of high-frequency trading, solving complex challenges in ultra-low latency systems—where every nanosecond matters.

Within the role you’ll work side-by-side with Quantitative Researchers and Strategy Developers, building high-performance systems that directly impact the firm’s trading success. There are no silos—just deep collaboration, rapid iteration, and the freedom to innovate.

You’ll be trusted to own projects from architecture to deployment, with access to the latest tech, a flat structure, and a culture that rewards curiosity, experimentation, and execution.

What You’ll Do:

• Partner with quants and developers to design and optimize high-speed FPGA solutions
• Architect and implement hardware to accelerate trading systems — from board to API
• Optimize performance through iterative development in live trading environments
• Drive hardware decisions including selection, system design, and testing
• Contribute to both strategic long-term builds and short-cycle tactical improvements

What You Bring:

• 8+ years of experience designing FPGAs or ASICs using VHDL, Verilog, or System Verilog
• Experience with high-speed interfaces like Ethernet or PCIe
• Strong understanding of hardware/software co-design and system-level thinking
• Bonus: Experience in C++, C#, or Java
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
