Role Purpose
The HR Generalist is the face of Thomas for talent. They are responsible to provide leadership for and manage the day-to-day work of recruiting efforts for all roles at Thomas. They will develop and implement recruitment strategies that are rooted in candidate experience and finding talent that is hungry, humble, and smart. They will succeed by using HR, marketing, networking and people-oriented skills to attract and retain excellent talent in alignment with the Thomas brand.
Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the daily workflow and recruitment activities for Thomas Construction Group.
• Identify opportunities to work in partnership with marketing team on recruitment collateral and outreach, ex: videos, social media, etc.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with hiring managers and interview teams.
• Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities.
• Identify, support, and assist with the planning for external and internal recruitment events in conjunction with the creative services team, to include travel/attendance at events as needed.
• Understand and communicate current/future vacancies and recruitment priorities with leadership team.
• Actively recruit for vacancies and future hires.
• Acts as first point of contact for candidates.
• Schedules interviews and coordinates candidate travel.
• Checks references, coordinates assessments, and prepares offers.
• Coordinates onboarding and first day agenda.
• Prepare weekly pipeline/hiring reports for leadership team.
• Owns ADP recruitment module and champions the tool amongst hiring teams.
• Identify and communicate trends in the applicant pool and external trends in industry, region, etc.
• Understands and has the ability to communicate Thomas Construction Group career levels, compensation, benefits, and growth opportunities.
• Comfortable training hiring managers and teams on interview best practices.
• Build and present a qualified pipeline of candidates that possess Ideal Team Player competencies.
• Leads career fair coordination and execution efforts.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field and at least 2 years of recruitment experience required.
• Proficient with recruitment related software, and talent database mining.
• Demonstrated ability to lead decisions across departments and functions.
