Medical Lab Technician (MLT) – Contract Assignment

Location: Plains, MT

Shift: Night Shift | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM | 7 on / 7 off

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Weekly Pay: $2,200 – $2,400

Pride Health is currently seeking experienced Medical Lab Technicians (MLT) to support our client’s laboratory team in Plains, Montana. This 13-week contract assignment offers an immediate start and is ideal for professionals looking to make a meaningful impact in a respected healthcare facility.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing and procedures in accordance with approved protocols, with minimal supervision
• Collect, process, and analyze specimens, including blood collection when required
• Perform, document, and evaluate quality control procedures; initiate corrective actions as needed
• Operate laboratory instrumentation according to established procedures and document required maintenance
• Identify abnormal, discrepant, or unexpected test results and investigate appropriately
• Communicate delays, issues, or potential problems to leadership in a timely manner
• Utilize LIS, EMR, and other laboratory systems to complete testing and special projects
• Assist with error detection, investigation, documentation, and process improvement initiatives
• Participate in training students and new employees; assist with curriculum development as needed

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution
• Strong communication skills with the ability to address customer inquiries professionally

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical laboratory experience

Certification Requirements

• MLT or MLS certification by ASCP
• ASCP certification
