Job Title: Part-time Accountant
Location: Jax, FL 32256 (Onsite!)
Salary : $25-$35/hr
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Accountant to join our growing team. Expertise in Quickbooks Desktop is a must. Flexible schedule with an expected commitment of 20-25 hours a week. Pay is negotiable based on experience. Local family-owned golf equipment company with room for career growth as we grow !
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and reconcile all financial transactions in QuickBooks Desktop
Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and vendor payments
Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
Assist with payroll entries and employee reimbursements (via Gusto, Paychex, or similar, if applicable)
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking
Work closely with ownership and external CPA for tax preparation and compliance
Maintain organized financial records and support audit or review processes
Recommend improvements to accounting procedures and internal controls
Qualifications:
3+ years of accounting experience with a focus on small businesses
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required
Strong knowledge of GAAP and bookkeeping best practices
Experience in inventory-based or manufacturing businesses preferred
High attention to detail, accuracy, and time management
Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with a small team
Experience working with external CPAs and preparing for tax season is a plus
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
