We are a group of primary care providers, specialists and surgeons serving patients in Connecticut and western Massachusetts. Part of Trinity Health Of New England, we offer primary care, specialty care, surgery, urgent care, rehabilitation, and imaging and lab services for thousands of patients every year. Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is looking for a part-time Dietician to join a mission-driven healthcare team. About the Role

Part-time - 24 hours (3 days) per week. You would assist in coordinating the entire outpatient education and support group programs for the Comprehensive Weight Management Program including continuing education in nutrition for healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Provides optimal nutritional care to persons with weight issues by effectively identifying patient needs.
  • Assessing nutritional status.
  • Designing appropriate plans of care.
  • Monitoring patient progress to maximize clinical outcomes.
  • Provides sound nutritional information/education and guidance to physicians, staff, patients, and families.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in Nutrition Education required. Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or closely related field. Master’s Degree in Nutrition Education, Public Health, Health Education, Counseling or related field preferred.
  • Registered Dietitian and licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist required.
  • Member of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics, American Diabetes Association, or American Association of Diabetes Educators.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organization and communication skills required.

Pay range:

$27.35-$43.75 - This position is exempt status
