Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior CAD Drafter to join our clients team in Woodridge, IL. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in drafting and design for industrial or manufacturing environments. You will play a key role in preparing, modifying, and finalizing engineering drawings that directly support production and custom equipment solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and revise detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings of industrial equipment, systems, and components.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
• Interpret technical specifications, customer requirements, and engineering input into clear and accurate drawings.
• Maintain drawing standards, templates, and revision control processes.
• Review and check work for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to drafting standards.
• Support engineering documentation, bills of materials, and drawing packages for projects.
• Mentor junior drafters and contribute to process improvements within the drafting team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in CAD drafting within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other relevant CAD software .
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, fabrication, and assembly methods.
• Experience preparing drawings for industrial systems, filtration equipment, or related machinery preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
