Job Description

Hillcrest Development, LLLP, a third generation redeveloper of commercial real estate, is seeking a full-time Senior Maintenance Technician for properties primarily in the Minneapolis and Edina, MN areas. The properties include office, industrial, warehouse and medical users. The position is available immediately and is offered with a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Description

This position works closely with our property maintenance and property management staff to maintain all building operating systems, and the overall condition of our properties while providing a safe and comfortable environment for our tenants. This individual also performs daily monitoring, inspection and maintenance of buildings and grounds to prevent or resolve issues, utilizing specialty vendors as needed.

The Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in commercial building maintenance.
• Management experience or capability of evolving to Supervise staff.
• Ability to assess critical property issues in a timely manner and coordinate responses in a fast-paced environment to resolve issues in a safe and effective manner. 
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize. 
• Physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, navigate ladders, and work from heights or in tight spaces.
• Personable demeanor and highly responsive in interaction with tenants, staff and outside vendors.
• Willingness to take direction from management and perform all activities deemed necessary for property operations and support of our tenants. 
• Availability to be on-call on a rotating schedule with use of a personal vehicle. Overtime pay is provided.
• Adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Clean driving record and satisfactory background check.

• Well organized and self-motivated.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Working knowledge or willingness to use mobile technology.
• Expansive knowledge of building electrical, lighting, mechanical, plumbing, locksmith tasks, energy management, card access, life safety and fire systems.
• Experience with operating chiller and cooling tower systems.
• Boiler’s license.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
