Title: Utility Coordinator

Location: South Bend, IN 46615 OR Indianapolis, IN 46204

Duration: PERM

Hours: 7 hours - some OT expected

Salary: $55k-85k (Depends on experience)

Start Date: ASAP

Will be required to travel state wide

Included: Company car, gas card, expense account, per-diem.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Bachelor's Degree OR 4+ years' experience in utility coordination (INDOT)
• Experience with the development and/or review of utility relocation designs
• Flexible to travel onsite around the state maintaining safety standards
• Able to communicate well with clients
• Able to pass an MVR and clean BG/DT

Plusses:

• Reading AutoCAD and Microstation blue prints, schematics, or drawings
• Experience with Microsoft office
• Certification
• INDOT Utility Coordination

DAY TO DAY:

As a Utility Coordinator for Transportation Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing utility coordination for transportation and public works projects, primarily with INDOT and local agencies. This includes leading coordination efforts, facilitating meetings, and serving as the main contact between the client and involved utilities. You'll conduct site visits, review design plans and relocation proposals, and work closely with design teams and utility providers to resolve conflicts. Additional duties involve developing project timelines, maintaining progress reports, and ensuring all work complies with the client's health and safety standards.
